the beginning of something..
hey!
so i've wanted to update this project for a very long time. it's something that i was really attached to when i made it, and now after being stuck inside my little room, living through a pandemic, ive only kept that attachment going.
so what are my plans for the full release?
well for starters- fixing the entire game.
the scripts and systems that i initially developed worked for the assignment in which this project was submitted for. they don't however function incredibly well. the game also has a load in issue, where the game lags on load.
as such, the main focus is redeveloping the text interactions, making them a little bit more meaningful, and ensuring text isn't able to glitch out. as well as the load-in lag.
what else? well i've got a little list here on my phone this includes adding a proper introduction to the game, as well as an ending. Implementing different ways to interact with the space other than just clicking for text. polishing up animations. and lastly, improving visuals with updated textures and swanky post processing.
currently ive spent the day renaming all my objects in the scene (name your things properly kids!) and removing all the old scripts and unnecessary files that were left in the project. for the love of god i found 15 extra scenes in my project from packages i downloaded !
im not putting a deadline on this project as of yet, as i still have this year of uni to finish and another 2 games to develop for it in the mean time, but im hoping by march next year (at the latest!) the game will be done.
